What I’m listening to: Our House by MisterWives. Saw these guys in concert this past weekend with my good friend Laurie. So much fun. (Fun fact: Theo enjoys having a dance party to this song :-).)
What I’m watching: My husband and I enjoy having a tv series to watch together. Currently, we are watching Chuck, a show that has great dialogue, spy adventures and humor. It’s great!
What I’m wearing: Everything. It’s so cold!
What I’m reading: Unstoppable by Christine Caine (love her!) and The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. (Also, I just finished The Shadow of the wind. Amazing. If you love Marquez, Borges or even Collins, you would love this book!)
What yoga pose I can’t get enough of: Warrior I & II. I love feeling so strong and peaceful!
What yoga pose I finally mastered: Side Crow, Split Variation (Eka Pada Koundinyasana I)
What yoga pose continues to elude me: forearm balances. grrr
What I’m loving: All the baby boys that have been born lately! In the past four weeks, four close friends have had a total of 5 baby boys. Wow-wee! I love it :-). Welcome to the fold, Kieran, Quinn, Joah, Henry and Edison!!! (Baby Joah pictured below, with Theo, Micah and a blurr of Oliver.)
What I’m planning right now: my Spring capsule wardrobe. (One thing is for sure, I need to get me some midi-length skirts!)
What I’m excited for: Summer! Oh sweet summer…
What I’m working on: A lot of things actually! I’m working on mentally and emotionally just enjoying where I’m at in my life, knowing that life never stops moving and changing. I want to enjoy the here and now, because I know it won’t be here for ever! I’m also learning the importance of being authentic and true to who I was made to be. The world doesn’t need two of the same person. There is only one me, so I need to represent!
What I’m over: People who constantly feel they have the right to share their comments/criticisms/opinions about your life with you. You have the right to think those things, but come on…Enough is enough.
What I’m enjoying: Looking for opportunities to fill my day with the people and things I love. I’m SO thankful for the moms who I get to hang out with at playdates, the friends who make time for coffee dates, for my husband who makes times for date-dates, and for all the other yoga/lunch/shopping/general-hanging-out dates that add so much joy and meaning to my life.
What I can’t get enough of: this baby
So there you have it folks: what’s up with me.
What’s up with you???
