This weekend, my husband and I and our good friends, Julie and Jimmy, got together to celebrate my cousin Jarod’s birthday. There are few things that I love more than getting together with people that I love, to eat, talk and laugh the night away. This past Saturday was no exception.
Before I left for our night out, though, I had quite a few instructions to leave for our babysitter. I like to keep my notes in a visible spot where they are the least likely to be forgotten or ignored. Fortunately, I had my DIY message board for just the occasion.
This message board has come in handy so many times since I’ve made it, so I thought I’d share this quick idea with you today. This project couldn’t be easier or more inexpensive. I bought a 8 1/2 X 11″ picture frame at the Dollar Tree for $1, and a 8 1/2 X 11″ piece of scrapbook paper at the craft store for 10 cents. Like I said, cheap!
You can swap out your paper as often as you like, although I haven’t changed mine since I made it about a year ago.To write on it, all you need is a dry erase maker with an eraser!
Not only is this message board great for leaving notes for your babysitter, spouse or your kids, I also like to use it to create “to do” lists and to write meaningful quotes or thoughts that I can come back to over the day.
I hope you enjoyed this fun little DIY project. Let me know if you give it a try! Or, I’d love to hear from you if you have a DIY message board idea of your own. Happy Monday readers!
