Back again, with another installment of “Things I love Right Now” because of the great response to last week’s edition. Enjoy.
Ponchos, I now realize, are the perfect cold-weather accessory when you are pregnant. They are comfy, keep you warm, and fit over any size belly. This one is especially wonderful in all it’s chunky-knit glory. I found it at a thrift store a few years back and it has since become one of my favorite fall items.
I love lipstick, and I love to have a lot of variety of lipstick. You never know how your mood is going to shift and your lipstick collection better be varied enough to keep up. For this reason, and because I’m still 16 at heart, I love Wet N Wild’s lipstick. It’s super cheap and comes in these great, vibrant colors. My favorite drugstore will occasionally put these bad boys on sale for 30% off, which means I can pick them up for $1.30 apiece. When that happens, I usually buy several.
Pretty self explanatory in it’s awesomeness.
Ahhh, I love this movie! It’s got two wonderful, old actors – Elizabeth Taylor and Spencer Tracey. I love the remake with Steve Martin, but there is something so special about the original in all it’s black and white classicness.
Oliver is such a cuddle bug. It’s wonderful. I hope he is like this forever and ever.
Mike started making these pancakes when I was first pregnant with Theo. He found the recipe in a book he was reading about first time dads. Ever since then, breakfast – especially pancakes – has been his thing. He has perfected them over the years and to me, these pancakes will always represent the wonderful, loving, good-for-the-soul kinda husband and father that he is. And not to mention, these babies are delicious.
I’m so in love with this shoe company, Sandgren Clogs.
Here are 13 of the most iconic movie outfits of all times. How many of these movies have you seen? What movie outfits would you add? Two of my favorites, Hepburn and Kelly, are on the list, but I also would add Lauren Bacall. The photo above is of her and Humphrey Bogart in The Big Sleep. It’s a tough call to make which was more fabulous – Bogart and Bacall’s on-screen chemistry, or her clothes.
I found this pic of my grandpa and me when I was looking through old photos to create my photo/art gallery wall. My grandpa died my sophomore year of college. What can you say about the people that you love and lose? Time has a way of helping you forget the hard things and cling more tightly to the good. For me, I remember all the thrift-shopping trips we took, all the boat rides, and of course, his amazing homemade dill pickles. All these things have become a part of me, and they started, with him.
