Last Saturday, my sister-in-law, Rhiannon, organized and hosted a baby shower for me and baby girl. The shower was such a nice surprise; I didn’t expect to have a shower for baby number three, but Rhiannon wanted to help me celebrate the fact that this third baby is a girl!
The shower was so special. Gathered together with my closest friends and family, I was literally showered with thoughtful gifts, yummy food (hellllloooo doughnuts!), and lots and lots of love.
Can I just say how much fun baby girl clothes and accessories are? I mean, seriously. Boy clothes don’t even hold a candle. And, not to mention, I have some of the most talented friends in the whole world. I couldn’t get over the beautiful, handmade items that were made especially for baby. How cool is that?
And the tights. Ooooo, baby tights just make me kinda giddy inside.
One of the most special aspects to the shower, though, was how excited everyone is to meet this baby. Nothing warms a mommy’s heart more than knowing that her children are loved by the people who matter most to them.
My little girl will be welcomed into this world by so many strong and wonderful women. These are the women who have challenged me to be better, have supported me through difficult times, and who never fail to make my life just a little more fun. Baby girl and I are both so fortunate to have these women in our life.

This Outpouring of Love!
This Silly Game
Rhiannon took a photo of Mike and a photo of me and cut them up into strips for people to rearrange and create a picture of what baby girl will look like. Isn’t she soooooo beautiful? (Said no one ever, lol.)
This Funny Moment
At the beginning of the shower, Rhiannon told us that there was a tiny baby doll hidden in the living room and that the first person to find it would win a prize. My Aunt Robin found the baby…in the fireplace, lol.
The girls were given a ball of yarn and had to cute off a piece that they thought was the size of my bump.
This Hilarious Game
Everyone was instructed to draw a picture of what baby girl will look like at any given time in her life. This produced some hilarious results!
This Special Gift
My dear friend, Sheila, passed along some of her favorite baby clothes that her daughter once wore. Such a thoughtful and special gift!
These Handmade, Knit Caps
How. Cute. Are. THESE???
This Yoga Onsie
This yoga themed onesie from Rhiannon is so perfect. Baby girl and I have done a lot of yoga together this pregnancy!
My friend Bri, who took my maternity pictures, is one of the most talented people I’ve ever met. She gave me the cutest set of handmade bibs. This one is my favorite. It’s made out of a vintage print and has a bird on the front (I’ve got a thing for bird prints).
This Changing Pad Cover
One of my friends, Liza, owns her own company called “Little Moose by Liza.” She makes beautiful items for moms and babies. In addition to this cute changing pad cover that my mom bought, Liza made all of baby girl’s beddings. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
Here is a sneak peak at baby girl’s bedding by Little Moose:
My friend Erin made this beautiful blanket. I can’t wait to snuggle baby girl under this cozy throw!
This Cuddly Rabbit
My grandma made sure baby girl had something soft and cute to hold onto :-).
Rhiannon is my sister-in-law, but she feels more like a flesh and blood sister. She is such a blessing to me and my family and I love her so much!
There were a lot of other great gifts and moments from the shower, but either I don’t have a photo for it, or the photo I do have isn’t fit for the world to see. Sitting in a chair is probably the least flattering position a mom-to-be could possibly be in. That’s all I’m gonna say…
