Play Dough is magical, I swear it is. For whatever reason, it is the one activity that will capture both my boys’ attention for more than 15 minutes. However, at the end of each Play Dough sesh, most of it is on the floor, in their hair, or up their nose (I wish I was joking…). So suffice it to say that a regular pack of Play Dough doesn’t last long around here.
Fortunately, it’s easy to make. I use a basic recipe that you can find repeated allll over the internet:
1 C flour
1/4 C salt
Basically you mix it all together and that’s that ;-).
The boys enjoyed making the dough just as much as they enjoyed playing with it! One other tip – Theo asked me how to make a dough dinosaur and since I’m not exactly gifted by way of dough sculpting, I looked up a few youtube videos and bam, I was mom of the year. Seriously, confetti was thrown, a trophy was handed out. It was a good moment.
Long after Oliver had left the table, Theo continued to sit, watching random videos on how to make dough animals and giving it his best. It was a perfect, winter activity!
