My Beauty Uniform: Briana

I’m so excited to introduce you to my good friend Briana and her gorgeous face. She is my first guest-contributor for my new series, My Beauty Uniform. Briana is a momma of two little boys, makes and sells all kinds of amazing things (like my all time favorite “man soap”), and is one of the most  stunningly beautiful women I’ve ever seen. Enjoy!

Describe your morning/evening skincare routine:

I will start with my evening routine first because it’s the one I put more focus on. First I like to exfoliate with hot water and any natural essential oil scented soap I have available. I have large pores and to clean them out I need to scrub my face with something very abrasive; I use a luffa for this. I have had a lot of success with my homemade face mask consisting of Bentonite clay and vinegar, and I leave that on for about 15-20 minutes. Next I love to dap a little vitamin E oil just under and on top of my eyes. Before I discovered vitamin E oil, I used cocoa butter really just anything with the most emollient properties.

Morning routine – Splash of cold water! (more like a reality check).

If you could only use one makeup product for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Thats easy, it would have to be mascara. If I don’t have time for makeup I will put on mascara and call it good to go. I even carry a spare in the car.

If you could only use one beauty product for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Thats hard to say I love all beauty products. I will go all out and get fancy hair serum, leave in conditioners, quality shampoo and conditioners. I just love it all  and i am such a girl in this department. Its really hard for me to just pick one mostly because when i am out of something I’m not one to go back and do repeat purchases.  I guess if i had to choose I really love BareMinerals Prime Time foundation primer.

Do you have a signature scent?

My husband bought me Calvin Klein’s Endless Euphoria for Christmas and its really nice, but I wouldn’t call it my “signature” just yet.

Lipstick. Yes or No?

Yes, someday I’m going to start wearing that stuff.

Shower or bath?

I’m 50/50 on this I love both, and weekly do both.

How do you put together a head to toe look?

How do I? Well I’m pretty practical, and most of my outings are to the grocery store, or thrift stores. With that being said my style has to be practical and comfortable. I am all the way a jeans and tee kinda gal. So if I were to put together a “look” that made me feel like I looked good for the day, it would consist of a good quality pair of Jeans ( I love Express and Calvin Klein jeans the most). As for top I would pick a cute tee, I love a simple cotton V-neck in black or white, with some fun jewelry to spice it up and some girls in my hair… Simple, practical, comfortable.

Dresses, skirts, or pants?

Pants, preferably jeans.

What is a trend you love?

Right now I’m loving flare jeans, with a cute chunky heal, and a cute embroidered boho top. I even love one colored in a  bright purple and pink… I would never go that far but I do like it.

What is one trend you hate?

Something I can’t do are short tops. Like the kind that hits right below your belly button. I like longer tops.

What is your definition of beauty?

Confidence. I love this in women because it is something I lack and wish I could be a little more free, a little more careless.  It’s just not in my DNA.  When I see a woman who has confidence, its the first thing i notice about them. My eyes don’t see their weight, or their clothes, their makeup, or if they’re trendy.  I see the way they laugh, their smile, they way they walk, it all says “ I have confidence” and it is down right beautiful. Its beautiful because they are comfortable in their own skin, and it radiates off of them with an energy you want to get addicted to.
