Thursday Things I Love: Mexican Blankets, Cleveland Skylines, and Crock Pot Applesauce

A few of the things I’m currently loving…

these blankets

I picked up a couple new Mexican falsa blankets while we were in Yellow Springs a few weekends ago. I’ve wanted these blankets for the loooongest time. When Mike and I were first married, I found falsa blankets for sale at a gas station and wanted to buy them in the worst way. Mike, the practical one, said he couldn’t justify spending our gas money on ugly blankets (we don’t always see eye to eye aesthetically). But now, they are mine, ALL MINE! (Ironically, I bought these in the parking lot of a gas station. I don’t know. I guess it’s my thing.)

Mike and I spent some time in Cleveland last weekend, helping my cousin celebrate his birthday. We ended up at a restaurant on the water, across from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I love this picture! I love Cleveland!

Oooo. The tube socks. He pulls them up just like that, errrrday folks. It’s his signature look.

I just love people. I love meeting new friends and making new connections. I’ve recently developed a new friendship with a local momma who has quite the green thumb and she sent me home with these beauties after visiting her garden for the first time. What is it they say? About friends being the flowers in the garden of life? So true. So true.

this little reader

I love walking in on him reading. There are plenty of messes and lots of noises with these kids, but there are just as many sweet moments, too.

these lunch buddies

So two things. One, how awesome is that blanket? Eh? Ehhh? Two, it’s still a little strange just having Oliver and Bea left at home during the day. Buuut. I feel like I’m getting to know Oliver in a whole new way now that big brother is off to kindergarten all day long. Oliver has really bloomed and come into his own. It’s fun to see.

My girl on my lap. Is there anything better? I think not.

Ok, so my aunt gave me a ton of apples which I immediately turned into apple sauce! I used the recipe that I posted on my 20 Fun Things To Do This Fall blog and it was fantastic. If you are looking for an easy and delicious recipe, I recommend giving it a try!

What about you? What are you loving right now?
